SUMMER in full swing!

Today was Mike and I's company picnic! What a day! Mike learned how to carve a pig and graciously served it up to all the guests. I watched as Eli (Susie's little boy, Noah's cousin) helped Noah through all the blow up games. There was a climbing one, a fun caterpiller tube and a bouncy house. The bouncy house out of all became the most dangerous! Somehow, Noah managed to still take his nap at the party with music and games blaring all around us. He is an amazing little boy! We came home, ate some dinner and then went back out to play on the playset. We have put the little kiddie pool at the end of his slide and tonight Daddy put the hose at the top of the slide...Noah was pretty much almost sliding out of the pool! SO MUCH FUN!!! Now, little Noah is exhausted and laying here just watching me type.

Last week was our family time in Maryland with Mike's parents. It was really very fun. Noah had THE BEST time with his grandpa who I am sure is still recooperating from the energy of a two year old. They both loved seeing their two boys. We went to the Museum of Natural History, the Baltimore Aquarium (I totally thought there would be way more big swimming things in there!) and the National Zoo (my personal fav). At the zoo we had the great opportunity of watching an Orangutang swing high above our heads unrestricted between his own house and the Ape house (funny, I know...go ahead and think of all the jokes right now.) Noah also loved petting the cow. Just think...all the way to Washington, D.C. to PET A COW?! Ironic.

Needless to say, Noah was spoiled rotten (good thing for him, and not so good for mommy) and this week has been challenging getting him back into shape. This has also been the week of showing Mommy that he knows how to throw a tantrum (and I thought I had missed out on terrible two's!) He has perfected using the phrase, "Don't yell at me." and says it every chance he gets...usually, I am not yelling.

All in all, it has been a great couple of weeks. Lots of time with my boys and I have loved every minute of it. God has certainly blessed me with a beautiful family!

Oh, and a last minute shout out to my Dad! Today he pulled off something I have wanted done for 2 years!! THANK YOU and I love you dearly! Today, I felt spoiled! :)
