So, this week was our first week at home and it has truly been an adventure. Every morning I wake up thinking first , "What can I teach Noah today?", and second I think, "What are my cleaning tasks for the day?"
Well, I also now have to consider what to feed Noah for breakfast and lunch, along with what I have always been good at...DINNER! So, whole wheat toast with peanut butter...filling, healthy, right?! Who knew that it would also be a lesson for Noah on how to spread peanut butter with a knife (don't worry folks, he has his own little plastic knives).
So, then we had a day where Mommie had the flu. Yup, first week home and mommie is knocked out...apparently lowering your stress level might do things to your body. So, what to do with Noah that doesn't take energy...I know, I will sit on the porch and he....he will play in the alley with the rocks! SO MUCH FUN! I know, one picture looks like he might be leaning over the edge of a pond, or lake, but no...it is a big, ole puddle in our alley. :)
Not a lake, but a puddle.
Yes! Rocks! Puddle! Jump! Splash!
Then also swinging. Mom can sit in a chair, drinking Gatorade and hoping for some semblance of what I call ...ENERGY, and he can swing away! Now remember that he is a boy and they CANNOT swing normally!
Two swings...not just one!
Mom! Upside down is better!
No really, Mom! Even when I am falling out!
Then last, but not at all least, we made a family decision that Madeline needed to go to a new home where she could run and play like she likes to. When she could be loved as the only dog, instead of amongst other dogs...she likes to be the only one getting the loving. We found a good home for her out in the country where she can run and play, but it didn't make it any easier to say goodbye to her. Noah was sad, but just kept telling Maddy, "Don't worry Maddy, you'll be ok."
Her favorite thing to do...lay in the grass.
Rubbing her belly ...
Getting last kisses while telling her it would be ok.
So, all in all...it's been a good week. A week of learning how to live in our house and love it.

What a wonderful set of photos, and a great re-cap:) thanks
