A few firsts!

Noah has had a few firsts this week in the eating category.  

He ate his first Hostess Cupcake!  I have kept them from him for this long!  :)  We went to Freeman Park to play because we needed a change of scenery.  We had the playground to ourselves, running around, through all the slides (yup, I went too!), up the hill to the Veterans Memorial, down the hill to the playground, and hit by sprinklers! 

So, since we were on that side of town (where I grew up), for old times sake we went to the Hostess store.  Noah thought it was like the candy store and called the cupcakes "footballs".

This week was also Vacation Bible School at our church and we were there every night helping out.  Since we had to be there early every night, they had dinner every night for the helpers.  One of the nights Mrs. Evelyn brought Sloppy Joes and Noah had his very first Sloppy Joe sandwich.

You may find it odd that Noah hasn't ever had a Sloppy Joe, but it's his dad's fault.  Mike told me early in our marriage that if I ever made Sloppy Joe's with Manwich he would NOT eat them...so, we haven't ever had them.  These ones at church were homemade and EVEN Michael ate them!  :)  Success!  I will have to get the recipe.
