Noah is such a grown up little boy now! He woke Daddy up on Sunday screaming, "Happy Father's Day!" He then ran out to the living room and thought he was grabbing the presents and grabbed a boxed pie I had sitting there! Luckily, I caught it. :) He then took the "fresents" in to daddy.
Noah gave Mike a gift card for golf shoes and the whole time we were at the store (yes, we went right away because Mike has instant gratification disease) Noah kept saying, "Happy Father's Day, Daddy!"
We went to see my dad/papa afterward and mom gave Mike some Y U M M Y banana bread! Susie & the boys showed up at the same time...it is funny how we always manage to do that! :) Papa gave Noah his favorite thing to get when he goes over there...a brand new hot wheels truck. I truly think that those little cars and trucks that Papa hands out are the best $2.00 my dad ever spends! It is always those little things that I remember about being a kid that I love as an adult.
For dinner we had barbeque chicken, grilled corn on the cob (found a great recipe and it worked!!), and pasta salad. Noah actually ate his pasta salad and he had his very first corn on the cob. He loved it! He thought it was fun to bite it off of the cob and hold it just right!!
It was a Happy Father's Day! I love my husband and he is a great father to our little monkey. I can't wait for many, many more.
