Charlotte's first week with our family was a busy one. We had to stay in the hospital a night longer than I wanted to because they were monitoring her jaundice levels. When we did go home we had to go back to the hospital the next day to have her tests run again. She did have a slight level, but after being told go home and nurse, nurse, nurse, that is what we did (well, what I did.) She was checked again at the doctors office on Monday and her numbers were leveling off.
Mike stayed home the first week with us and was an AMAZING husband and father. He is a good father, but this week he stepped it up. Every day I was just told to rest and take care of Charlotte and he did the laundry, cleaned the kitchen and did the general pick up of the house. Why, you may ask? Some of you may know and some may not, but I get a bit anxious and have issues relaxing at all if there are piles of things in the kitchen or the main living room. So, in order to ensure that I could leave the bedroom and still feel sane, he managed the other rooms EVERY SINGLE DAY.
One of our friends had decided to give us baby pictures (she is a
photographer - check her blog out here) for a gift. So, one week after
having Charlotte, I drove her out to Chelsey's house to get
photographed. Charlotte slept through almost all of it and here are
some of her beauty shots.
Since then she has filled out just a tiny bit more...
How wonderful--these are amazing. What a great gift. Love Grandpa & Grandma
